EG1st Surf Camp 2011
Looks like the kids had a great time at surf camp. The waves were small but that didn’t stop them. All of them were catching waves and laughing and smiling.

What a crazy night. We took over 140 formal portraits in less than 3 hours.

And my good friend Page Phelps took candid photos throughout the evening.

We had a great time photographing the Mobley’s at Rychman Park. Very photogenic family and easy to work with. The kids were not at all afraid of the camera, in fact I think they loved being in front of the lens. They made my job so easy!
I took this photo 3 years ago and started working on it right away. It is multiple exposures stitched together. That part was easy. Then I started coloring the vines, leaves, grass and bricks. That was a bit time consuming. I timed myself working on another photo (Palace of Fine Arts I) several years ago and was surprised to see that it took about 20 hours to complete the coloring and other work to get the image that I had in mind. I think Bedons Alley exceeded that. I worked on it on the few occasions that I had some free time and felt like tackling the tedious process. And finally was able to wrap it up a few days ago.
Here’s a few more from my Nature In Motion series from Highway 25 in San Benito County, California.
We had the pleasure of shooting the Harpold family last week. What a photogenic family, so fun and easy to work with. It’s easy to get great shots of people who genuinely love each other.
And then there’s Tommy and Hannah, no point in trying to describe how they look together, just see for yourself…
We’ve been enjoying photographing some of our friend’s babies lately and getting some great shots (it helps that the babies are beautiful too).
